Cody, who lives in Richmond, TX, is a breast cancer survivor whose journey inspires the passion behind her benefit. With more than four decades of experience working with a wide variety of horse breeds and riding disciplines, including classical dressage, western dressage, and, in her younger years, eventing, she believes that the best horse and rider teams draw strength and harmony from every discipline.

Cody loves working with all breeds of horses and brings a wealth of knowledge acquired from working with many accomplished riding masters, some of whom were Olympians and international champions. She has successfully coached competitive riders and their horses to improve performance and has also worked with horses and riders requiring rehabilitation. Her clients appreciate her deep understanding of the technical aspects of this very athletic sport.

She offers intelligent and precise communication skills tailored to you and your horses needs—qualities that are much appreciated by her students.

Cody’s unique specialties include conditioning and proper equitation for the horse and rider as well as the care of older horses and identification of their special needs. She is a member of USEF, USDF, AHA, USAWE and USET; is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist; and has won multiple regional dressage, FEI Champion, and High Point FEI Awards. She is the owner, trainer, and coach of AHA Legion of Excellence horses and has been the recipient of the HDS Good Sportsmanship Award. She has also been the recipient of numerous USDF All Breeds Awards and USEF Horse of the Year Awards.

Western & Classical Dressage Coaching

Cody is committed to helping all her students attain their goals. All riders, from beginners to upper-level competitors, receive personal, customized coaching to fit their needs. With a natural talent for teaching riding, training, and horse management, Cody encourages her students to reach their full potential as capable, compassionate equestrians. She has successfully coached competitive riders and their horses to championships and Horse of the Year Awards, improving performance, and also worked with horses and riders requiring rehabilitation. Her clients appreciate her deep understanding of the technical aspects of this very athletic sport. 

Cody offers training and instruction in dressage as well as behavioral training and basic education for young horses. Training is tailored to meet the individual horse and rider's needs. She is also a schooling show judge and has judged Special Olympic Horse Shows.

Every horse and rider can benefit from the balancing and strengthening exercises offered by classical or Western dressage! Cody brings her extensive personal experience with that discipline to her work with every horse she trains

he also enjoys working with all breeds of horses and works patiently with every horse she trains to build a lasting framework of trust and positive communication.
